Science In Action~
Mrs. Gay's K/1 science class had a blast today! They discovered how the sun warms the Earth and learned the difference between direct sunlight and shade. How? By watching their toys magically melt out of ice under the sun's rays!

Razorback Ball is coming up! Time to plan your outfit.

Today some of our educators attended the Bay County Reading Association conference to bring back to our classrooms. Thank you for giving your Saturday for our Razorbacks!

🍎 Big things are happening for Hiland Park Elementary! 🍎
We are so incredibly proud of our very own Jaclyn McNeal and LaTarsha Ukazim for representing our school at the Bay County Reading Association Conference! 📝✨
Their presentation, “Writing with Flavor,” is taking the room by storm. They are teaching educators how to use a multi-sensory approach to spice up the classroom, spark engagement, and help students expand their language to take their writing to the next level. 🌶️📖
Please join us in celebrating these two amazing leaders who are constantly finding creative ways to inspire our students and their fellow teachers! 👏🎉

On Monday, January 26, 2026, FIN provided a brief overview of our supports and services, along with technical assistance on ways to implement specific instructional strategies for students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. Participants received information related to ESSA data for the students with disabilities subcategory and learned about the six collaborative teaching approaches designed to maximize instruction for students with and without disabilities. Attendees worked in groups to apply and plan the implementation of these strategies using provided scenarios.

Our proud princi-pal was able to visit the capitol this week to witness education committees and meet with legislators. Meeting Senator Trumbull was an honor and sharing with him our celebrations and struggles was humbling. Leadership is advocacy and Mrs Faircloth was excited to do that this week!
